The Washington Post   reported that a new group seeking to make healthcare more affordable for consumers “has formed in Washington, contending that even with more widespread insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act, many people cannot obtain the care they need.” Partners for Better Care claims it represents about 10 million patients already through affiliations with other advocacy groups. Mary Richards, the organization’s executive director, said the coalition’s first move will be to craft a “patient charter” focused on availability, affordability, and transparency.
