The San Francisco Chronicle(11/13, Subscription Publication) reports that Covered California this year “will reach out primarily to the 750,000” uninsured Californians who are eligible for federal subsidies under the ACA. On Thursday, the agency ended a 38-stop bus tour around the state “directed at that effort.” The exchange has also been running a “multimillion-dollar advertising campaign” and has opened about 500 storefronts to offer one-on-one enrollment assistance. The article adds that recent surveys “show that 85 percent of residents are aware that Covered California exists, but a third of those who are eligible for financial help don’t know it’s available.”
The Sacramento (CA) Business Journal (11/13, Subscription Publication) also reports on Covered California enrollment.
